Final Conference of the EaP GREEN Project to be held in Brussels, Belgium
1 December, 2017 – Brussels, Belgium. The “Greening Economies in the Eastern Neighbourhood” (EaP GREEN) project, launched in 2013 and funded by the European Union and and jointly implemented by the Economic Cooperation and Development Organization (OECD), the United Nations Environment (UNEP), the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) and the UN Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE). The project aimed to support EaP Countries, namely: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, the Republic of Moldova and Ukraine to progress faster towards more resilient and green economy.
The Conference will show progress made in the EaP countries and aimed to:
- take stock of key results and impacts of the Project in the six EaP countries;
- highlight good examples, lessons learned and summarise remaining challenges;
- consider how the EaP countries and its partners can reinforce efforts to green their economies for an improved human well-being and social equity, with reduced environmental risks and ecological scarcities.
